Barcelona winger on Tottenham radar, completion from abroad
The 30 year old’s role at Barcelona has diminished since they won the Champions League in 2006 with the continued emergence of Lionel Messi. Guily makes another in the list of quality experience players on the market this summer as clubs continue their trend towards staying as young as possible.
Marseille are considered to be serious contenders since they have cash in hand and a need to replace Franck Ribery, who joined Bayern Munich last week.
"Ludovic has spoken with Frank Rijkaard. There's an 80 per cent chance he will be leaving Barca," Dominique Giuly (agent and father)
Tottenham, who have failed in their efforts to sign Nani, Stewart Downing, Martin Petrov and so far Morten Gamst Pedersen are still looking for a solution for their left-wing problems. While he is 30, Tottenham need some experience and a direct player like Guily could easily fit the mold and at such a low price there is very little risk.

sign him
NO!!!!! We need to buy Royston Drenthe from Feyenoord. Made Nani look average at the U21 championships tonight. 20 yr old, fast, left footed, great delivery and tackles like the pit bull.
Ditto the above!
Drenthe looks the real deal & at only 20 is going to get better & better.
If Commoli & Jol havent got this kid in their sights then there is something seriously wrong!
GO GET HIM!!!!
