Official: United land startlets in double swoop (video clips of both players)

Beating out Tottenham, Manchester United have made a double swoop by signing Sporting Lisbon starlet Nani and have also signed FC Porto attacking midfielder Anderson.

Brazilian youngster Anderson from Porto has been turning heads all season at Porto with his blinding quickness and has been labeled the new Ronaldinho. Nani plays out wide and occasionally as a striker.

United have signed 2 of the most exciting players in World football at the moment.

A United statement said:

'Personal terms have been agreed and a formal announcement will take place once the necessary administrative procedures, including a medical have been completed.'

good. so that United have no more money to flirt withBerbatov. AF always tapping players from other clubs through media, but no action taken.

They were never going to get Berbatov - he didn't want to leave Spurs.

Anderson will be injured more than Kewell... He wont make it in the Premiership... Nani however looks strong enough to survive..

Nani has only played one season in Portugese football. One swallow doesnt make a summer does it?? Im not bothered that he went to united . He may follow the elusive footsteps of Kleberson, Djemba Djembs, Veron, and all the other wasters that Fergie signed trying to finf midfield muscle.power and genius, He hasnt been too successful has he ??Apart from Carrick his record of signing decent midfielders is pathetic

jesus christ im a spurs fan and i am ashamed by the shit my teams supporters can come up with.

They are both probably very good players. I know the vids are only athe best of what the players have to offer, but just because spurs didnt get their man its all "we didnt want him anyway"

to be honest if those two were at the lane, i tihnk we could easily break into champions league

Are Sporting ever going to realise that they could challenge on a much bigger stage if they did no have to sell their crown jewels every couple of seasons. From Figo,Simao,Quaresma & C.Ronaldo their has been enough talent to perform a much higher level - if they had not been sold.
With Nani gone & Moutinho interesting others, how many more will be going?
Djalo,Veloso aand Fabio Paim will all be gone within a couple of years.

Is S.C.P's only ambition to be Europes biggest feedr club for young talent?

Sporting are in a tough spot, if they dont sell, young recruits wont join the academy since they will know the club will never let them go and that will stop the flow of talent.

On the flip side, they could easily eclipse Porto as top in Portugal if they kept them longer. That said, Sporting have the 2nd best youth academy in Europe next to Ajax.

It comes down to economic reality, Sporting would rather make money than win Championships, so yes in many respects, they are a feeder club to Europe.
