Hammer rejects Tottenham interest for Arsenal or Manchester United

Nigel Reo-Coker is brushing off the interest of Tottenham for the possibility of a move to Arsenal or Premiership Champions Manchester United. The 10m pound rated midfielder has recently handed in his transfer request after a rocky season at West Ham United and appears to have his sights set high.

After the big news that Tottenham beat out Manchester United for the signature of Gareth Bale, Tottenham were feeling froggish and decided to wade into the water for Reo-Coker’s services. Apparently the player has been quoted as saying that he wants to appear in the Champions League next season.

Reo-Coker might be in for a bit of a wait, it looks like Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is waiting for the club to lower their valuation of the player before making an offer. Arsenal have never really, truly replaced Patrick Vieira and have Gilberto, Fabregas, Denilson and Abou Diaby all competing for a central midfield place.

As far as Manchester United go, Sir Alex Ferguson has shelled out a lot of money for Owen Hargreaves from Bayern Munich so I cannot imagine that Reo-Coker should be of much interest to Old Trafford. With Liverpool signing Lucas and a glut of other central midfielders already on the books it doesn’t look likely either.

So unless its Arsenal, Re0-Coker is either out of luck or planning to watch the Champions League from the bench.

Very average player with delusions of adequacy...stay at a club like west ham where you belong.

I hope the arrogant cunt ends up at Arsenal where he can rot in the reserves for a couple of years.
