Blatter finally does something

FIFA president and esteemed super-crony Sepp Blatter has finally done something as FIFA president. For the thousands that have died holding their breaths its too late, for the remaining blue-faced: you may finally breathe as it is a rare day indeed.

From now on, no international soccer matches will be played above 2,500 meters in altitude. A number of countries, but most notably Bolivia who play in La Paz (3600 meters) often stage games high in the mountains as a subtle form of cheating, robbing players from lower altitudes of oxygen. While there have been complaints about the announcement there shouldn’t be any because this ploy have been going on for decades.

Blatter has been a crony-in-chief of FIFA too long, don’t hold your breath regarding his exit anytime soon. He’s woven a tangled web of influence over the sport and has basically created a job for life.
