FIFPro World XI Player Awards shortlist

Before I start this, can you think of a more goof-ball name than ‘FIFAPro’? There is a marketing guy somewhere, sitting at a desk.

FIFA’s first ever such award includes a ceremony in September. Never one to ignore a list of big names, here is the shortlist that was released:

you idiots have to think of the bigger picture. over the last 5 to ten years the players on that list including ruud beckam ronaldo figo cafu and the rest have been lighting up the pitch with their magic. some youngster like alonso has done nothing special yetin his career at all really. i thinkits a good list and reflects the respect and awe people hold for these players worldwide. id be much more worried about facing a team with ruud or scholes in it than a team with alonso playing. think about it guys...

erm helooo! its world players of the YEAR not of the yearS, its who has been good through the year and alonso should be on it, and caragher for that matter, its just being on a popularity contest, im suprised the whole off chelsea's team isnt in there!
