Veterans back to fitness could be big boost

Paul Scholes looks set to make his long delayed return for Manchester United in their FA Cup fourth round match against Tottenham at the end of the month. Scholes suffered a knee injury against Aston Villa back in October.

The 33 year old retired England international has completed his recovery and is just waiting from clearance from the team doctors. The veteran comeback also included Gary Neville from his ankle injury which has seen him out for 11 months.

As United have maintained pace with Arsenal at the top of the table, these returns could serve as a big boost entering the latter part of the season.
