Tribute to Theirry Henry: his two greatest goals (video)

Today it was announced that Theirry Henry is leaving Arsenal for Barcelona, I thought it would be fitting to honor Arsenal’s all time leading scorer with his two greatest goals for the club: in 2000 vs Manchester United and in 2002 vs Tottenham.

Henry was always a showman, and he scored some spectacular goals in his 8 years playing for Arsenal.

My favorite, vs Manchester United:

What a run vs Tottenham:

18m for Bent. Don't be an idiot. It will be 15 max and I'm not happy about it.
Difference is though that our manager will still be in place after next season. Arsenal's won't.

Henry leaving will have no great effect, but Wenger leaving at the end of next season will be the end of the Arsenal glory days.

funny how only sp*rs fans have so much time they can trawl the internet and comment on every arsenal post anywhere with something as pig-headedly stupid as most of the above. focus on your own issues, at least more than 2/3 of the players we sign are worth their prices, Toure for 500k, Anelka for 200k, Campbell for nowt vs Rebrov for £11m? the level of sh*t spurs fans feel obliged to deliver in Henry's wake only underlines how much he outclassed all of your players up and down the pitch year after year. good luck Titi, there will be a collective sigh of Spurs relief without you.

As as spurs fan it's great to see him leave but don't ever rule out wenger unearthing another gem. arsenal played pretty well without him when he was injured last season. they still have the core of a great side and with the right funds wenger is likely to sort everything out. Predicting Arsenal's demise is just silly. With or without Henry they are STILL a better side than us. We are still 3 or 4 players short of competing with them. Let's worry about our own problems before laughing at others.

methinks the spurs fans should shut it, look at that goal in the vid you got burned with... thats a classic, ol robinson is on Henry's poster stretched out to feel the breeze of the ball going past

and how about that defending, they were tripping over eachother, it was laughingly casual the way th scored that goal

we will unearth another gem and you wont ever catch us, your days are over, your best players host MOTD

arsenal did fine without him last year. wenger either believes that walcott van persie and adebeyor or ready or he has someone set up. as much as i would like them to fall to pieces, thats not gunna happen until wenger has gone. the bloke is so clever its unreal, he just lets him self down kiddy fidling. the big mistake was letting dein go wenger would of commited and henry wouldnt have gone if dein didnt. henry and dein down, wenger and fabregas to go

16 million for Henry -- nice bit of biz Arse's. Way to get less than we got for Michael Carrick! It's over for the Gunners. The future is Lillywhite bee-yitches!

What an absolutely amazing talent. To be honest, the best player I have ever seen in the premiership (anyone thinking Cantona, Keane or Giggs, please think carefully about this mans incredible pace, vision, leadership and finishing ability).

Now, the shock. I'm a spurs fan...and I'm so happy this genius has left (or nearly left).

For the first time in my memory, i can say this with my hand on my heart......I think Spurs have a better team than Arsenal.

There, I said it. Moan if you like boys, but in just about every position (Cesc apart) we are better off.

Just an opinion.

Okay all football lovers. Henry WAS one of the best ever players to grace the premiership.....no doubt about that. Being a die hard Spurs fan, with hand on heart I can say that. But i'll tell you this now, with the soon to leave henry and the kiddy fiddler close behind, the arse wont recover from this straight away. You gooners know deep down this will have a detrimental effect on your team. Dont get me wrong, you have a good set of players, but without your two main leaders, I can safely say that the team WONT be the same. I'd be suprised and amazed if you lot make it into the CL next season. Tell you what, if you got any sense, and you like money (we all do)...get on Spurs at 66/1 each way, cuz for sure we gonna finish in 3rd place. You've had your time....now move over cuz the lillywhites are stepping up. COYS

fantastic player, maybe the best the premiership has ever seen. skill, vision, speed, character, really an amazing purchase from wenger, who made him better and better every season. if he stays fit, barcelona win the league next year. i cant stand to think the amount of times he punished spurs. as for arsenal, fucked. i mean royally fucked. never recovered when vieira left, this could start a mass exodus. if/when wenger leaves, you're done. end of. if wenger leaves, there is noone that can replicate his style of play, player by player will leave the team. fabregas to get the ball rolling. once arsenal dont qualify for CL, they are in big big trouble , they struggle financially as it is. if the fee really is 16 mill, at least arsenal fans can be happy that we will be paying the same for darren bent. definitely a loss for the prem in terms of entertainment, but whole league has a chance vs arsenal without henry now.

Keep it up Arsenal, only a few decent players left now.

6th place finish for your lot next seson.

You better hope the kids can keep it up for a whole season.

In fact haven't you had a 'good little crop' of youngsters for years now. When are they gonna turn into the finished article. They'll be drawing pension soon.

spurs fans come on here bcuz it shows up in Spurs newsnow. Wenger seems to be living in about1997... he was able to bring in the players he needed then for a song, but now refuses to pay big money for players (he's had the money to do so every summer, and not spent it). hasn't seriously invested in the 1st team for years, taking gambles on 'prospects' like diaby and adebayor. They won't all be cesc's, u kno.
meltdown. arsenal now miles behind manu & chelscum. spurs have a great chance to leapfrog them into a CL spot.

spurs will finish fourth next season and if wenger leaves the gooners it will be all over come on you spurs!!

arsenal played most of last season without henry, and it has been wenger's choice to sell him due to his sciatica affecting his fitness and his argumentative nature with the youngsters, most noteably v Persie. and as for arsenal being a one man band, how many fewer points would spurs have had without berbatov last season? hes too good for you and you know it, so before you start celebrating a champs league spot for the season that hasnt started yet, have a guess at what would happen if your two 1st choice strikers were injured for most of the season (even if robbie keane is a mallet-headed c**t)
