Everton for Baros, huh?

I do not understand Everton’s logic in looking to bid for Liverpool forward Milan Baros.

James Beattie hasn’t done a lot at Everton. I didn’t think that signing would go anywhere either. Everton bid for Andy Johnson and were rejected and again we see Everton looking for players on the cheap rather than a good deal.

Let me ask you this: who resembles who in this list?

James Beattie and Wayne Rooney

Milan Baros and James Beattie

Wayne Rooney and Andy Johnson

Andy Johnson and Milan Baros

Now, who does Andy Johnson resemble more?

Milan Baros or Wayne Rooney

Everton had the chance to buy Andy Johnson. Manchester United paid up for Rooney and they are getting goals.

Why is Liverpool selling Milan Baros?

Because he doesn’t score enough. Need goals, look at this starlet.

Who was the 2nd top scorers of the Premiership last season?

Andy Johnson. Penalties-schmenalties. They went in the net.

When you get value for money, you get the productivity that comes with it.

Baros could do well at another Premiership club. He just didn't seem to fit in with Benitez' Liverpool. But then he always seems to run with his nose buried in the ground.

Everton and Owen would be a good fit IMO (apart from that price tag;) and that bit about being a former Red;);)). They desperately need a quality striker, especially for European qualifying, he used to be and according some still is an Everton fan, and Bent can hold up the ball and link like Heskey did for him. Anyway, just feel a bit bad for the Blue side, as they were extremely unlucky in the CL draw, and have been snubbed left and right this summer. Seems everyone, including some of their own players, thinks their European run won't last beyond 180 minutes or so.
