Oh... Croatia got a third, England out

Everyone had already written Peter Crouch into their headlines as the hero for England but it was not to be. A manager clueless of international tactics and players looking more interested in salaries than the Euro 2008 Finals lose in the final qualifier and are thus dropped from the finals.

After one of the worst first halves I have ever seen, England managed to regroup from a 2 goal deficit after Frank 'dissapearance' Lampard slotted in a penalty and Peter Crouch lashed in the equalizer. At 2-2, England were thru. Scenes of jubiliation, the day was saved.

Or was it. Substitute Mladen Petric blasted a monster 25 yard drive across England goalkeeper Scott Carson and into the bottom corner. Ah, and then the silence.

England had 15 minutes to recover from the hammer blow but it was not to be. Croatia held their nerve and Steve McClaren was left holding his umbrella. Hold your member, buddy, because its all you have left. Oh, and quit, quit right after the game.

Fuck it, I doubt we would have won the euro anyway, so I've saved a few bob on beer for next year.

Resign McLaren, you're worthless. My question is though, who on earth do we have to replace him who might actually know what we're doing?

I think the worse thing about it is everyone in the first half plays in the best domestic league in football. Surely we should be doing better.....

Lovely. Sven vindicated. Piss off English hypocrites. This is what you deserve after your hypocricy towards Sven Goran Ericsson, who took England to a higher level inspite of your mediocrity, but got no credit for it. Piss off, it'll be a better tournament without you.
Yours sincerely,

Danijel, don't get carried away. You are far from the best team in Europe. Which is what makes our bunch of rejects so pathetic as a team.

Come on England, deserve it. Learn from your mistake, next manager
Scolari waiting for your call to lead in world cup 2010. Do not even think on Mourinho because he can buy players!!!!

Tell me about Steven Gerrard ???? I remember how inept he was back in 2001 against Greece - like he 'Kakas' his pants in the big games for England! Tonight he was joint worst player with Wayne Bridge - did absolutely nothing.

thats very grown up mr. russia... i think somebody should replace your keyboard with a rattle. Mclaren should have never been given the job in my opinion. His lack of tactical nouse cost england dearly last night. It can't all be put on Carson, after all - it was Mclarens call to have him in there. The
> football betting
agencies have already got Jose as fave. Personally, my choice would go to an Englishman - I think Coppell has done a tremendous job at Reading and i would like to see him in there one day, perhaps a little early for it just now. So this leaves two big questions for those who like to bet on football... who will win the Euros, and who will be next England boss? Answers in a blog comment please! :)
