Arsenal after top England prospect
Arsenal are flush with cash after a record profit report. Top of that list is Aston Villa star and England under-21 international Gabriel Agbonlahor.Agbonlahor started playing regularly as of last season and has done nothing but impress for Villa with crucial goals and exceptional displays of attacking prowess. Something Arsenal have lacked is that deadly accurate striker and Agbonlahor paired up with Robin van Persie would be a potentially brilliant combination. Also considering van Persie always seems to be injured, the youngster would slot in and provide goals when their main striker is out.
While Nicklas Bendtner has played well it doesn't look like he'll ever become an Arsenal regular and could be moving on.
The rumors I have heard quote 15m pounds for Agbonlhor, which I think would be a great price considering how much Spurs paid for unproductive Darren Bent.

Yeah agree with you there FC, £15 million would be a terrific price to get Gabby but I have a feeling that if Villa were to sell that they would hold out for £20 million.
I have been very impressed with gabby and would love to see him a gunner
Honestly, we don't need him. If we offload Ed, then maybe but as it is no.
He may be a pain, but Bendtner is the one we should stick with.

Here we gp again .. given his relative inexperience, most arsenal fans would consider paying £15m for him obscene, and someone here is suggesting it should even be £20m .. no wonder, Wenger shops abroad ... Anything more than £7/8m for an unproven youngster like agbonlanhor is not on, as we have equally gifted youngsters in our team .. with £15m (or a little bit more), arsenal can get a truely world class striker from spain/italy/france/africa/eastern-europe ..

just what makes someone so sure about this guy is beyond belief; he has done not too bad at villa - so what? if the performance is genuinely exceptional to warrant price tags of 15 or even 20m he'd have been called up to the 1st squad in time of need -- after all, owen played w/c at 17
not pissing 15 or 20m on another relatively unproven - the fact that spuds paid stupid price does not mean someone has to follow
O'Neill wouldn't sell him - end of story.
He's been an everpresent for VIlla since O'Neill arrived. He's also a brummie lad - can't see him wanting to come and be 3rd or 4th choice striker down in London.
