Mourinho the next manager at Tottenham??

Jose Mourinho has quit Chelsea in a shock move. Will he become the new Tottenham Hotspur manager and stay in the Premiership?

Bookmakers have already set the odds at 5:1 to take over from Martin Jol and I think its even more likely than that, why? He likes London and wants to school his kids there. He’s said that many times already. I see no reason he wouldn’t stay also because he loves the style of football in the Premiership even though he’s accused of defensive tactics.

Spurs seem bent on pushing Martin Jol out of the door, but lets not forget that there will be a host of clubs all over Europe throwing cash at The Special One. We can start with Barcelona where he used to be an assistant. There have been rumors at the Catalan side that Frank Rijkaard is on his way out.

This could get interesting. I for one hope he stays in England.

If Mourinho stays in England, it will only be for Tottenham, as LIverpool, Arsenal & Man U have settled managers.

Sorry to say this folks, but 'The Special One' is exactly what we need....
If he was in charge last season we would have definitely won something. Losing one-goal or even two-goal leads is becoming a habit for us (in crucial games), his teams just don't do that!

We need mental strength & a winning mentality....there isn't a lot wrong with our squad, just the mental application....

i bet SKY, Setanta and the premier league are praying we get him to the lane or English football has just lost one of the greatest entertainers and managers that weve seen

Difficult to imagine him going to AC Milan as they're doing fine with Ancelotti (he won them the CL). Juve and Real have only just appointed new managers, but I can see him ending up in Spain (Barca or Valencia maybe). He may even hang on for the Portuguese national job. As a Spurs fan, he could be just what we need, but I can't see it happening.

why not? he wants to stay in england and we have all the pieces we need? we are getting beaten tactically every week and he is the missing link.

I say throw the entire bank at him and save our season

He's already hinted that we have the raw materials to do well......

Come on Jose, take a punt.

Think about all the set piece goals we let in (more than any other prem team).
How many points could be saved in this area in a season..... 10,12,15,18.....That puts us into the top 4 comfortably!
