He needs to leave to get his career back on track

Shaun Wright-Phillips was completely left out of last night's Champions League victory over Schalke by Chelsea manager Avram Grant. While the team won, for Wright-Phillips it’s time to go. What better place than a resurgent Manchester City?

The England international struggled to win a place since Jose Mourinho signed him from Manchester City for 21m pounds in 2005 but had been gaining playing time until Avram Grant took over. He doesn’t look to feature in the new manager’s plans and should end the frustration and go somewhere where he will play. He wasn't even on the subs bench last night.

He has only made 29 Premier League starts in just over two seasons.

Sven has come out and said that they need to sign 2 more top players in January, well here is one of them.

As much as i loved swp while he was at city he left for bigger and better things,i think bringing him back would be a huge mistake. He would be deamed a failure by everyone including himself,we need someone who wants to come to the club to push us for europe, not someone who wants it by jumping ship

SWP would be perfect for us. We have nobody capable of playing wide right, and nobody in attack with any pace. Imagine how much fun Elano would have picking out passes for someone like Shaun, and, dare I say another ex blue Anelka, another player with genuine pace who makes wonderful runs. We never saw the best of Nick because of the side he was in, (and being alongside a Fowler whose careeer was over when he joined us) and the two of them would turn us into potential champions.

SWP only left us after a ridiculous offer from Chelsea.
They then put him on a shelf out of Arsenals reach, dusting him down every now and then to play on an irregular basis.
His spiritual home is Eastlands, Svens interest is a clear signal the club not only understood our dismay at his loss but that we are now finacially capable of drawing him back.
The return of SWP to his spiritual home would see the resurgance of one of the most exiting players in the country after Chelsea mis management.

shauny wright would work wonders with elano at the moment we have no pace up the right wing. stephen ireland is the closest we have to a right winger or maybe geo. but shauny has the pace and the finish. and also i think his heart would be in it to make us a team pushing for champions league places.
