Sensational rumor? How about this…

Barcelona are quickly becoming the revulsion of all things Arsenal as it has sensationally been rumored that it’s not just about Theirry Henry anymore but that now coach Arsene Wenger has become a target of the Catalans.

Apparently the story emerged after Barcelona lost out on the La Liga title on the last day of the season, coach Frank Rijkaard will quit (or, ehm, be asked to quit) and Barcelona will look to Arsene Wenger as a replacement. It’s rumored that when Wenger met with Barcelona financial director Feran Soriano in Paris last week his own future was a topic of discussion in addition to Theirry Henry.

Could it be real? Definitely. You could never seen him takeover another Premiership club, but another country? Yes. Wenger, who has one year remaining on his current contract, has not extended, and is frustrated departure of former Vice Chairman David Dein who was his main ally on the club's board. Additionally, Wenger might be interested in a new challenge. Coaches, like players sometimes need that to keep their motivation high.

Is it likely? No, not at all. The Spanish press is notorious for its sensational journalism and flexibility with facts. Wenger is well, well, well settled in London and is a sacred cow among Arsenal supporters. I can see Soriano making mention of Wenger coaching Barca but I can’t see it going any further than that. At Arsenal Wenger has very long term plans and is the type of person to see them thru.

I'm not being funny the sun reported on this and even went on to contridict the whole story. they say at the begining of their article that he'll replace frank rijkard(and no i dont know how to spell his surname) in the summer after him failing to win la liga. it then says how arsene prides himself on seeing out contracts and has already stated he will see out his contract with us, and personally he'll sign a new deal in january (thats my opinion, but spose it could make the tabloids)

Wenger wants to be France manager. It's obvious. If he can't, he'll manage another international team. going to a club with precocious little arseholes for directors, where he has little say in transfers, is extremely unlikely.

Why don't you write something original or interesting and while you're at it use the spell-check.

Wenger is where he wants to be.

I have more confidence in the reports suggesting he tried landing Eto.

Ummm, no. He prides himself on finishing out his contracts. He still has a year to run. He prides himself on sticking to his word. He has said repeatedly he will be here this season. He's a man of honour. Learn not to believe any bullshit from any football rag in the summer. Or during any other time of the year.

And learn not to propogate their bullshit. If you do, you're just as big a shithead as they are.
