DONT GET RID OF DROGBA.... Hes shown good team spirit and every oncein a while he can turn it on on the pitch and it will be brilliant. I think Gudjohnsen has done a great job , but we have to accept that players must move on. (Gallas for example) even though you may not like to hear it, eventually Lampard,Terry, Cole and others will move on but we have to make the most of our boys while their with us.
Drogba may 'whine' about defending but has just played a more than significant part in winning back-to-back Premiership titles. He works harder than any other forward in England, at corners and at tackling back. He works just as hard for the team as Lampard and Terry, if not harder sometimes. His 'whining' in the press - nobody I know has actually heard Drogba complain - is just that - in the press. Mourinho has said he wants to build a team around Drogba and Shevchenko and I can't think of a more potent attacking force in the Premiership. Gudjohnsen's better in an advanced midfield role and hasn't looked a patch on the striker he once was. With so many players to fill that advanced midfield spot, Gudjohnsen is surplus to requirements. It'll be a shame to see him leave, but it's for the best. Hopefully he'll get a dream move to Barca, which is on the cards.
DROGBA is not a very capable striker, but neither is Gudjohnsen. As for what the team needs, if we ever play with one striker in the league, we simply need a strong striker - which neither Gudjohnsen or Shevchenko is.
In Europe, Shevchenko will have no trouble playing as the lone striker, but in England, it will be difficult.
Which is why we need Drogba.
To be fair, when he plays well, he is simply exceptional. Think about the game where we crushed Liverpool 1-4, Drogba was majestic in that game. Touch, Strength, Control and Vision. Maybe a fit Drogba + Shevchenko is all Chelsea needs.
I didn't even bother reading this piece of S**T!!! Get rid of Drogba for Eidur you are having a laugh mate. You have no clue what you are on about, to be honest get a job!!!!!
Totally disagree with this. As has been constantly stated by the pros on Sky and Chelsea TV, Drogba is one of the forwards that defenders hate playing against because of his strength and commitment. His commitment to defence is also outstanding.
What is this incredible need to knock Drogba. I sometime think it must be other team's fans, because he must be wondering why the fans of his team keep on rubbishing him. I don't get it. There is a Chelsea player who I am not keen on because I think he is lazy when he is on the pitch. Well I know he is, but I would rather ignore him than try and put him down, constantly knocking him.

Dear football commentator-have at thee! Didier is an excellent striker and all around footballer for that matter, and has served Chelsea well in my opinion. Sure, he's over dramatic at times, but a little melodrama and a slight exaggeration never hurt anyone, and frankly, its part of the game. With that topic aside, and despite the fact that he is one of my favourite players, I believe that he has slightly underachieved in the last several years, despite the greatest football team in the world's (CHELSEA!) recent success in the premiership. However, this is no fault of his own, just a slight transitional flaw in the team's defense to offense, and perhaps even in a minute sense, a lack of team chemistry, one I am convinced will be solved with the addition of Shevchenko, yes, but Ballack moreso. Nevertheless, I guaruntee Drogba to be successful no matter where he is, but if he remains as I wish, you can look forward to a statistically even more productive season for him in the next year and seasons to come, as along with John Terry, Didier Drogba is in my opinion visibly the Blues' hardest worker on the field, especially before the Crespo returned from his well deserved loan (Drogba 1 Crespo 0 =)) and specifically the games he served as the lone striker in the striker-toilsome 4 3 2 1 and 4 5 1 formation Chelsea used a number of times in the 04-05 season. Anyway, you'll be posting "Keep Drogba" and "Now get rid of Crespo/ Gudjohnsen" blogs after Drogba shows his stuff in Germany over the next weeks.
