Chelsea, everyone else chasing 17 year old Brazilian wonderkid (video clip)

Like a metronome, it’s happened again. A young Brazilian so talented has appeared on the radar he has all of Europe’s biggest clubs scrambling to sign him. Alexandre Pato has Chelsea drooling, as well as everyone in Italy, especially Inter Milan, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Juventus. Benfica have barely gotten a glance, Manchester United scouts have tried and failed to see him, and for my money he’s worth the buyout clause on just what the video below shows.

Imagine Kaka as a striker, with a few of Cristiano Ronaldo’s tricks and subtract 5 years from both of their ages. Brazil has tried to keep him under wraps but it has failed. At one point his professional club has resorted to having the new phenom train in private.

Alexandre Pato is so sublime that he’s now on the World radar. He’s only 17 but he’s already in the first team at his club Internacional de Porto Alegre after the club’s management made him signed a multi-year contract complete with a 15m pound buyout.

Let’s take the fairy tale to a new level: less than two minutes into his first professional game, Pato, which means ‘duck’ in Portuguese and came from his home town name ‘Pato Branco’ meaning ‘white duck’, scored his first goal –on his first touch.

Just look how sublime he is for his age:

In addition to his newfound stardom at club level, Pato was instrumental in Brazil’s qualifying for this year's U-20 World Cup by scoring five goals.

International have recently relented and have apparently started listening to offers. It appears another Brazilian will be leaving his home at a very young age for stardom abroad.
